Worklab bakery counter becomes multimedia learning space
AICHINGER supports training and further education at the Federal Academy Weinheim
In an intensive process, an interdisciplinary team at AICHINGER has developed the one-of-a-kind Worklab Bakery Counter for the Federal Academy of the German Bakery Trade. This is designed as a multimedia learning space that is mobile and modular and can be adapted to changing forms of presentation and sales. The counter module is also equipped with a payment terminal, digital price tags, displays and integrated lighting. The Worklab bakery counter is made complete with a multifunctional and rotatable back panel. This is also equipped with the PANEVARI bread shelf and multiple displays.
“The counter and the store are the stage for artisan baking. It is important to showcase this in the best possible way. In addition to the presentation, an essential aspect of the shopping experience is the tangible passion for the profession and the product,” says Christian Milk, Head of Sales Fresh Craft, explaining AICHINGER‘s commitment to the Federal Academy. Therefore, AICHINGER maintains an expert exchange with the responsible persons on such subjects as workplace design, customer journey, counter presentation and the integration of future-oriented sales forms.
“AICHINGER proves that a counter is more than a showcase for baked goods, but the focal point in the store where employees must be on fire for the craft of baking,” says Bernd Kütscher, director of the Federal Academy. The flexibility and convertibility of the modules allows for a high intensity and duration of use. The Worklab Bakery Counter is used at the Federal Academy in the master school, the courses for bread sommeliers and sales managers, and sales seminars. As the Federal Academy, the Akademie Deutsches Bäckerhandwerk Weinheim e. V. is the central technical school for all German bakers’ regional guild associations and the Central Association of the German Baking Trade.
