Functional Design twice awarded
AICHINGER with the Flockenwerk and Bakery Weissensteiner in STORE BOOK 2022
AICHINGER, one of the leading providers of fresh food experience worlds, is represented in the STORE BOOK 2022 with the gastronomy location Flockenwerk in Ochsenfurt and the Weissensteiner Bakery in Klagenfurt. This is the most important yearbook in the shopfitting industry. The 50 projects included are considered the benchmark of international store design. ” This double nomination is confirmation of the quality of AICHINGER Functional Design. We unite the emotional staging competence for fresh food with the design competence for workplaces in the gastronomy and fresh food trade”, explains Sebastian Holzberger, Head of Marketing at AICHINGER.
Flockenwerk: Multifunctional space and area concept for gastronomy
In view of the hitherto little-developed tourist structure in Ochsenfurt, AICHINGER‘s task was to develop a space and room concept for the investor Flockenwerk Immo GmbH & Co. KG and the operator Bundschuh Flockenwerk GmbH which, on one hand, allows partial use depending on the time of day as an à la carte restaurant, bistro, for brunch, at coffee time and as a vinotheque, but also offers the capacity for events for up to 180 people. The centrepiece of the concept is the 16-metre-long bar, which is grouped around the staircase and connects the area of the restaurant with its winter garden to the bistro and the vinotheque.
Early mornings and forenoon, breakfast guests, craftsmen, commuters and schoolchildren are treated to baked goods, snacks, and at lunchtime, more snacks and a bistro menu. In the afternoon, the AICHINGER ARTline counter showcases cakes. At brunch, the service counter is transformed into a self-service counter for the buffet in a few easy steps.
Weissensteiner Bakery: Purisitic design sets the stage for baked goods.
The right concept at the right location, superior quality – and a shop design that has become the talk of the town and social media. These are the ingredients that have made the latest branch of Bäckerei Weissensteiner in Klagenfurt a success.
The design of the 185 m2 floor space is minimalist, the colour scheme reduced to white and golden ochre and the counter gives the impression of a monolithic block of stone. The chairs and the long bench in the guest area with the back wall provide a contrast and, with the golden-coloured velvet upholstery and the walnut-look tiled floor create a lounging atmosphere. Seated at small tables, at a long table, by the window front or rather undisturbed in a large wing chair – the café offers guests 57 seats. For all its purism, the shop design also impresses with a high level of functionality, short walkways and space for clearing away and storing crockery in the café.
